Rapid Assessment Team – Innovation in service at triage; improving access flow

The Rapid Assessment Team (RAT) is a team of senior nursing and medical staff who work from the triage area and provide a rapid assessment of clients who present to the Emergency Department. This team comprises a senior nurse and medical officer on all Early and Late shifts Clients are referred to the RAT after they have booked in at triage.
